How Being Apolitical is Damaging

This illustration was made in accordance with a newspaper article discussing the ramifications that come from being apolitical in today's political climate. Featured below is a person covering their ears in an attempt to drown out the conflict that is currently happening. I sought to portray this concept in a sympathetic but also critical way, because while many people may relate to this desire to step away from all the pain going on in the world, something is sacrificed in the process.
