Mark Twain Cover Illustration

This piece stems from a project where I was tasked to depict Mark Twain if it were to be used as the cover for a biographical book. I implemented imagery from his time as a steamboat worker, with a conveyance of his work in literature through the books in the background. I utilized a painterly approach that emphasized the retrospective nature of this hypothetical book.
